With such a mild winter, the mowing season has begun. We will also be trimming many trees throughout the cemetery in hopes of having better moss control and healthier grass.
Our commitment to the community has not and will not change, and that is to provide the highest level & quality of service at reasonable prices, in a compassionate manner, while maintaining our facilities and grounds to the high standards we ourselves would expect. Being "non-profit" allows us to focus on our families, not the bottom line. We've been a part of the local community since 1875 assisting families in their time of need. We have a tradition deeply rooted in this community that will continue for many many more years.
Our pet cemetery was developed to provide compassionate care when the loss of a beloved pet occurs. We can provide burial or a private cremation of your pet. We DO NOT provide communal or multiple pet cremations unless specifically requested and authorized. See our "Pet Services" tab.
To keep our lot owners better informed - see the "Events & Updates" tab for information on improvements and work in progress in the cemetery or planned for the future.
Is Cremation your families choice? Click on the "Cremation" tab at the top to see what makes us unique from all other cremation providers in the Tacoma/Lakewood area.
Please give us a call; we are available 24 hours a day to assist you when needed. Our promise is to assist any family in need, regardless of financial ability. One thing that makes us unique among larger area cemeteries is that New Tacoma Cemetery is a registered "not for profit" cemetery, meaning our profits are reinvested into our property rather than going to an out of state "corporate office". When you buy an interment right for burial or urn placement at New Tacoma, you actually become an "owner" in the cemetery.
I promise the staff of New Tacoma will act with compassion, integrity and honesty in helping you each step of the way.
