Ms. Lanette Pearl Gardaya, 54 died February 13, 2017, with her family by her side in Tacoma, Washington.
Visitation Services were held Friday, February 24, 2017 at New Tacoma Funeral Home, University Place, Washington. Funeral Services were held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Chambers Creek Chapel, University Place, Washington.
Lanette was born January 15, 1963 in Los Angeles, California to Mr. Juan and Mrs. Juliana Gardaya. After her father's death she was later raised in a loving home with her parents Mr. Paul and Mrs. Juliana Brantley.
Lanette's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quality of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile, and laughter brought so much joy to our family. She attended Banning, High School. She was a loving Mother, Aunt, Sister and Friend. Her interest included family, music, dominoes, social media, writing and reading. She devoted much of her time to her family.
Ms. Gardaya is survived by her loving parents Mrs. Juliana and Mr. Paul Brantley of Tacoma, Washington, children/nieces that she raised Ms. Aethela-Leah Atkins and Mr. Zsaquan Turner, sisters/brothers and their spouses, Mrs. Janice (Akindele) Ayi of Arlington, Texas, Mrs. Athena (Anthony) Gregory of Tacoma, Washington, Mrs. Alethea (Michael) Coward of Richland, Washington, Mr. Johnny (Necole) Gardaya of Richland, Washington, Mr. Lonnie (Tonya-Shay) Brantley of Tacoma, Washington and Mr. Michael Brantley of Richland, Washington a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Mr. Juan Gardaya.
