Chyna Ja Nita Marie Thomas, Beloved Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, and Friend.
Chyna Ja Nita Marie Thomas was born to James K. Thomas and La Nita M. (Fletcher) Thomas on May 2, 1994. Chyna passed away unexpectedly on April 15, 2017. She was the baby of five children, and she used that to her advantage. Everyone always looked out for her. When things didn't go her way she would always say, "I'm telling my mom and dad."
Chyna played several sports which included soccer, track, and basketball, but dance was her love. She spent countless hours at the TMCA, Peace Community Center, and The Computer Cluhouse throught her childhood. She was able to travel on a Mission to Ghana, West Africa two years in a row to teach computer skills to the women and gilrs of Ghana. Chyna went on to graduate from SOTA (Tacoma School of Arts) where she majored in Dance.
Anyone that came in contact with Chyna was no longer a stranger. People enjoyed seeing her coming. She was the life of the party and had a smile that would light up any room. China truly believed that Family was everything and enjoyed family gatherings. Her nieces and nephews wer the loves of her life.
Chyna was a registered cornea donor. Sightlife was able to achieve two successful cornea transplants. One to a 40-year old female in Falifornia and the other to a recipient located internationally (age and gender unknown). We pray the receipients will see life through Chyna's free spirited eyes.
Chyna leaves to cherish her memory her parents, James K. and La Nita M. Thomas; grandfather, Dwight Edwards; grandmothers, Earlene Thomas-Warner and Beverley Thomas; brothers, Dor-Che Fletcher and Isaiah Thomas (Kayla); sisters, Jasmine Thomas and LaQuisha Baldtrip; nieces, Jalayah, Essence, Serenity, and Anniah; nephews, James, Jaiden, and Cordera; uncles, Clifton (Pookie) Jones and JeffreyThomas; aunt, Chrystal Thomas; and a host of cousins and friends.
