Joseph Graham Ring was born October 1, 1946 in Tacoma, Washington and passed away peacefully in Bremerton, Washington on May 1, 2017.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Graham Ring, and mother, Ann Ring. He is survived by his brother, Samuel Ring (Linda); nieces, Alisa (David), Andrea (Jayme) and Staci (Clay); and many other family members.
A special thank you to Joe Gasper for helping Joe in the lasts months of his life, giving Joe support and comfort.
Joe enjoyed his self-designed and built home on Tiger Lake in Belfair, WA. He designed many homes and buildings as a self-employed draftsman.
He particularly enjoyed the outdoors, fishing local lakes, and clam digging on the coast. He was a particularly good cook and had a keen eye for fine art. Joe had a special interest in logging and the steam powered rail equipment that went along with it, both miniature and full size.
Joe was a very good writer and artist as well. He had a special knack for home decorating with the ability to put the finishing touches on any room.
Gardening was also one of his attributes, having the ability to grow not only the normally grown Northwest plants, but exotic plants as well.
A family gathering honoring Joe will take place on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 1:00 pm – 4pm at Sam and Linda’s home, 6514 90th Ave Ct W, University Place, WA.
