Barbara Coleene "Bobbie" Weller

Bobbie was born in Portland, Oregon on March 15, 1925 and passed away February 10, 2018. Bobbie was a real Ruston girl. Except for a stint in Fife, she lived most of her life either in or near Ruston.

She was a graduate of Stadium High School and married Eugene E. Weller April 17, 1943 in Tacoma, Washington.

Throughout her life, nothing was more important to her than family and friends. After raising their only child, Steven, Bobbie and Pete became like a second set of parents to nephew, Dale, and nieces, Cindy and Michelle.

Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Pete seldom missed a year without driving around and camping on the Olympic Peninsula. They camped at nearly every state and national park campground out there. Four generations of Wellers have now camped at Kalaloch.

Bobbie had several hobbies including sewing, knitting, painting, camping and fishing, gardening, journaling, and reading. One of her greatest loves was walking on the beach.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene; son, Steven (Christine); grandsons, Lance (Kathryn) and Nason (Janie); great grandchildren, Hannah and Jacob; nephew, Dale Price; and nieces Cindy Price-Bruno and Michelle Pruett.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 in New Tacoma Cemetery’s Evergreen Chapel, 9221 Chambers Creek Rd W, University Place, WA.
