Jeannine Lockert

Obituary of Jeannine Lockert

Jeannine was born on January 4, 1929, to Cliff and Alice Singletary in Tacoma, Washington. After graduating from Lincoln High School, she married the love of her life, Ralph Lockert. Ralph and Jeannine had two children, Kerry and Jim.

Her passion was teaching children to read throughout the Tacoma School District. As an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and participated in Bible studies.

Her children, Kerry and Jim, and her grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Megan, and Will, were her greatest joy, always encouraging them to pursue their talents and passions. She never hesitated to let them know just how proud she was of them.

On Sunday, August 6, 2017, our mom/grandmother passed away, peacefully in her sleep. She goes to meet her dear husband, Ralph, and look down on her family from heaven, as she promised she would.

A memorial service to honor Jeannine's life will be held at the Tacoma Lutheran Home Chapel on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
