Wednesday, January 10, 2018I am so sad that Bob Passed away. He was a good friend and coworker at Ketchikan Medical center and was always fun to discuss work with him. My best memory was the boat trip and overnight stay up the west side of the island with him and Kathy. I thought we were going to do a lot more trips! Thanks for the many dinners and good camaraderie . Being from North Dakota too I loved his sense of humor and will miss him a lot. Truly one of my favorite people through the years. Love you Bob . Monday, January 8, 2018Words at this time are difficult to come by and really don't seem adequate. I just read about my old friend Bob last night in the Minot Daily News and am sick at heart. Bob and I spent a lot of time together during the year of our MT internships and I have missed him dearly since he left. I will always cherish the memories. Among them having the honor of Best Man on Bob and Kathy's wedding day. Two of the most wonderful people I knew got married that day. If you read this Kathy, my thoughts are with you. I only wish I had Bob's way with words and could say something appropriate and comforting. Of course, knowing Bob, he would have appreciated a little subtle humor. I will always remember that about Bob and will miss his friendship, his humor, his kindness. Next Christmas, I will miss his very clever and uniquely worded card.

Sunday, January 7, 2018It is with sadness, but wonderful memories, reading of "Bobby"s passing in the online 'Minot Daily News'. Bobby and I were born on the same day, Christmas 1945, and became fast friends when our Dads worked for the Great Northern Railroad in Coteau, ND. Our family lived in the railroad "section house" alongside the tracks. We share many of the same railroad memories. I moved during first grade and do not recall that we ever reconnected, but have never forgotten the friendship. My prayers for the Ford family.
