Obituary of Edith Michael

With heavy hearts we say goodbye to our mother, Edith Michael, a resident of University Place, Washington since 1956. Edith owned and operated the Poodle Parlor Petite in Lakewood, Washington from 1958 to 1992.

Mother was born July 23, 1923 in Solway, Kentucky. She was the seventh of nine children. Her greatest joy was her yard and beautiful flowers.

She was preceded in death by husband, Maj. Thomas O. Michael, Sr. and daughter, Judy Michael.

Edith is survived by her children, Tom (Mary Lou) Michael and Andra (Ann) Michael, both of University Place; grandchildren, Thomas (Kirsten) Welch of Tacoma, Brandon Michael of University Place, Brooke (Steve) Vukich of University Place, Jennifer (Brian) Caldier) of Fox Island, Michael (Chloe) Eichorn of Spokane; and great grandchildren, Mac, Case, and Cole Vukich, Tyler and Ellie Caldier, Corey (Sugar) Welch, and Gabriel, Judah , and Josiah Eichorn. A special thanks to friends Tex and Karen for their love and support of Mom.

At Mother’s request, a private family service will be held.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4 KJV
